- 1957: Founded in Urdorf, Zürich, Switzerland
- 1959: Specialized in hard facing technologies
- 1997: Installed first HVOF system
- 2001: Introduced PTA-welding robotics
- 2014: Advanced into laser cladding technology
- 2015: Established in-house laboratory
- 2022: Expanded facilities and became Stellba Surface Technology AG
- 2024: Opened first Australian facility in Cromer, NSW
